Metropolitan Rankings are based on the percentage of “A” grades in metropolitan areas with populations of 500,000 or greater with at least 6 hospitals. Metropolitan areas are determined by core-based statistical areas (CBSAs) used by the U.S. Census and defined by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The population estimate for each metropolitan area represents the 2020 base population estimate determined by the United States Census Bureau using the 2020 census. Click here for a printable version.
